Tom Epperson presented his first US solo exhibition, 12 Below, at Tyler Rollins Fine Art in April 2009. In that new series of photographs, he explored the unique properties of ice, taking as his theme the idea of a new Ice Age that has frozen the treasured belongings of a typical Filipino family.

In 2005, Epperson was honored with a solo exhibition at the Ayala Museum, one of the most important cultural institutions of the Philippines. Entitled One Light, the exhibition featured 55 portraits taken over the course of the past 20 years of people from all walks of life, shot using only one light source.

Epperson has been based in Manila for the past 23 years.
